Ragdolled by Leftover Turkey...Or Not.

From Monday morning, as my internet was being stupid the last few days and needed a deep repair from a couple of handy programs that do that sort of thing...

So I was hungry yesterday after church (the song we sang was difficult and apparently calorie-consuming, so I had a turkey sandwich.

This turkey was a leftover nearing the end of its life. We try not to waste food around here. I polished it off.

Then for dinner, I had the other half of a very thick pork chop (Mum had the other half), carrots, applesauce, and a baked potato.

I took a nice, warm bath and read my book.

Half an hour later after I got out of the bath, all hell broke loose.

We think I contracted food poisoning from the turkey. I threw up more times between 6 and midnight than anyone wants to. I couldn't even keep water down. I felt like a rag doll.

By today, I am loads better. Keeping food down, not really sick anymore, save for my head spins if I'm up for more than a few minutes. I was supposed to work for Ray tonight because we didn't have a car on Saturday, but not today. Not if I can barely stand up.

I didn't work on Monday at all- couldn't manage it. Tuesday was tons better.

As of today (Wednesday) I feel 99% better than I did on Monday, except my head kind of hurts yet (and going down to pick something up takes some thinking because my head kind of wooshes a little. I just have to go slow and steady and not go whup downwards like usual.)

UPDATE, THURSDAY MORNING...

Dad's got it now, so the turkey was fine, obviously. He's got it worse than me, though, which is weird because I'm nearly 200 pounds lighter than him and less than half his age (less immunities built up, but maybe my age made my stomach more resilient.) I had a mild case of la runs this morning (four days LATER?) but otherwise I'm back to normal and everything.
