Chicken, Chicken, Chicken; Good and Finger-Licking...

So, Whole Foods had a smashingly good sale on whole uncooked chickens today.

I bought three.

One of them is currently freezing solid in preparation for Mum and Dad's arrival in less than a month. Current plan is to crockpot it when they arrive so that dinner can be prepared when they get here. I know if I came off a long journey, the last thing I would want is to go out and scavenge for food someplace in a town I barely know.

One was boiled and I demolished it, taking all the meat from it and stashing it in the freezer and the fridge.

One was roasted and I demolished that one, too, also taking the meat and stashing it in the freezer and the fridge.

I've been wanting a good bit of chicken for, well, everything. It goes into salads, and it goes into fajitas, and a la king if I have too much at the end of a month.

In short, it can be used in a myriad of ways, and with a little bit of effort, I have enough chicken to get me through probably two and a half, maybe three weeks.

I just finished cleaning up the last of the carcasses and taking them out in the trash, washed down all the dishes I used for cooking and the subsequent, messy ripping apart of two cooked birds.

I have other stuff to do today, but having that all wrapped up makes me feel better about getting everything done today (little bit.)

I really have nothing else to do right now, so I'm going to go do something bad with my time and then I'll go be productive someplace.

Ta,
Bec
