So, started the prednisone this morning.
And here I am, typing with both hands. My right is almost normal again. I think the swelling's even gone down.
I feel wonderful, but here's the problem-I only have enough for a week.
See, prednisone is not one of those things one is supposed to keep taking. It reduces swelling, yeah, and it makes me feel awesome when I've felt increasingly crappy all week, but it's also weakening tendons and it can dissolve joints.
When this week is up will be the real test-will the problem go away or will it come back?
I'll know for sure probably next Friday, and maybe a bit before that. For now, I'm just going to enjoy the fact that I have both my hands back, even if it is for just a week.
