Adjusting Again

I had forgotten for a time how much fun it is to have a life with one and a half arms.

The right one works, all right, but not WELL, and adjustments must be made.

1. Switched shoes because the sproingy laces were on the other pair. I won't have to tie them then. Much easier.

2. Started putting stuff in the left side pocket instead of the right because it gets bloody awkward trying to reach your right with your left.

2 1/2. Mind you, if I could remember which was RIGHT and which was LEFT...

3. Switched out my bottle of painkillers for a different bottle that I can open. This one I can unscrew even with my left alone, which will make life far less difficult. They make the blasted painkiller bottle a bitch to open with your fingers on the fritz and then wonder why you swap them around. Geez...

I am learning again how to open doors with one's wrists (o the joy) and getting touchy about the right elbow being banged on anyone or anyTHING.

I am resigning myself to a long month of trouble. Sigh.

If I don't use the right hand I'm perfectly fine...which sucks because that's my dominant hand. And I have the added issue of my left actually being very weak in comparison to my right-when I did the puzzle test for my math disability, I had to do it right hand only and then left hand only. When I did it with my left, I should have been faster because I'd done it once already, but I was slower. For some reason it just doesn't work as well as it should.

My arm is kind of going hot and cold again, so I have to stop typing this.

Ta,
Bec

PS: Lo and behold, my fingers have swelled up and are are now twice as big on the right hand as on the left.

My pain is outmanuevering three Tylenol (glad I took them, then) and I'm hoping I can get some sleep regardless.

I'm going into Student Health tomorrow-they might be able to get me in sooner.

Gotta go fight with my toothbrush and crash.
