So this morning we found out the next series of Who is going to be split in half because of a "gamechanging" cliffhanger. We'll get half in the spring and half in the fall.
I see this as pluses. I get Who over a whole year, and that is fine with me. I always bemoan the end of a series because I won't see any new Who till Christmas, so this will help.
And of course it makes me wonder what Moffat's got up his sleeve this time. And the first thing that came out of my mouth was:
TIMELORD RETURN.
Of course I know they got tucked away last year by Ten's final opus but Moffat's been flipping things over like a Venusian pancake all this time. He changed the TARDIS, the console, the companions, the Daleks, even the Doctor has changed. Would it really be so far of a stretch to say he's going to have Rassilon and his band of overbearing idiotic Timelords stuffed in a box and let the good ones back out?
The other thing that came out right behind that idea, of course, was River, but who KNOWS who she is and what she'll do. I mean, isn't it a little too predictable to have her shoot the Doctor next spring and then OOP, see you in the fall!
(Yeah. I don't believe it either)
