Sometimes at rummage sales, you find nothing. Sometimes you find a little something.
And then there are the days when you literally WIN the LOTTERY.
I won the lottery.
So I come upon the electronics section-a scanner, a couple cameras, some cords...
And a Palm Pilot from 2005, with the box it came in and the two cords and a little stylus thing.
See?
It cost me a whole DOLLAR. You can see the sticker's still on the box.
I have been laughing like a maniac all day long because I have always wanted one of these babies and figured I would never be able to use one enough to justify the expense.
A brand-new model of this puppy on Amazon costs 500 smackers.
This one can play music, let me write, play games, and go wirelessly onto the Internet if I choose to do such a thing.
The only thing wrong with it was that the cord that would connect it to the computer is broken. So I ordered one of those from Amazon. Should be here in two weeks.
That cost me THREE dollars (well, a penny, but then you gotta add in shipping. So it was 2.99, round it up a bit, and ta-da. Three.)
I also bought a photo album, to replace the one where the pages don't stick down and the pictures kept going everywhere but where I wanted them.
So, for 7 bucks, I have my very own PDA and a nice new photo album to display my pictures in.
I spent all afternoon playing solitaire with the stylus and writing on it. When I can connect it to the computer, I'll have all kinds of fun adding stuff to this thing.
Let the fun begin. I have a new toy to play with.
Ta,
Bec
