After being knocked out with medication yesterday and waking to find my left arm in a heavy, unwieldy cast, I'm doing okay. No real nausea, little disoriented, but otherwise fine.
I have a pain catheter in my upper left chest area, and it goes down to a set of bottles with medication around my waist in a fanny pack. My left arm is completely numb-I can't move my fingers at all.
This cast is temporary-I gat a new one next week.
What irks me is I have to SPONGE BATHE for the next three days. And I can't go anywhere. I'm off balance and dirty and tired. Not a good idea for me to go out.
Enjoy the photos!

Bec

Wow. You look like you got run over by a truck. Hopefully the next three days pass quickly. Gosh knows that I wish they would. Brian's coming up Monday, and I haven't seen him since we left school, which would make it a little over a month. When are you returning to school? How long are you going to have the cast on for? Feel free to write me back on facebook or my blog. I feel like we haven't seen each other or talked in ages. We definitely need to change that this next semester.
This cast comes off Friday and then the other one is on for six weeks (March 6th I'm getting it off)
Coming back the 23rd.
I'm dizzy on Oxycontin today, and so I must lie down. I'll try to make to your Saturday party thing when I get back.
