Oh, HELL, No...

Yeah, this particular blog entry is going to be full of me complaining that I don't have a time machine. I want one. Right flipping now.

I am probably also among the hordes who want to do something alien and painful to RTD for torturing us the way he did. Just because he's leaving the Whoniverse doesn't mean he gets to muck with our brains like this. It's nasty.

If you haven't seen Stolen Earth, I warn you not to read this entry.

The Earth moved in this episode. It's migrated, along with all the other planets that went missing. They got yanked through the Medusa Cascade (which is a second off the rest of the universe and the Doctor closed it when he was a "young man of 90".)

So, Donna and the Doctor can't get through for most of the episode. They do visit the Shadow Proclamation, Doctor gets to speak a bit of Judoon, and then gets put in as General of the War of the Universe (let's say he declines the offer by running away, very much like 5 did when made President of Gallifrey.)

There is still something on Donna's back and apparently she's about to lose someone. Oh, please don't kill Wilf...

That leaves room for all the other companions to get some screen time. It was well-balanced. Harriet brought everyone closer together. Rose met Donna's grandpa and her mother. Donna met everyone via videoscreen in the TARDIS. Jack did a bit of flirting with Sarah-Jane, and Rose and him met up again...get to that in a second. Harriet Jones died trying to get a message to the Doctor.

The Daleks prove themselves again to be malevolent bastards. They moved the planet, they're on Earth, and man, are they grumpy little tots. Red Dalek didn't do a damn thing that I could see (maybe next episode he'll get more to do.) Davros has been giving his own skin to build the Daleks again. Caan apparently went into the Time War, which is time-locked, to get Davros out. He's now psycho and laughing uncontrollably, which sounds really, really creepy when it's coming out in that twisted little Dalek voice...

Right. Reunions never go as planned on this show. Ever. If you've read this far you've probably seen what happened. The Doctor finally, finally after all these years sees Rose...and in the midst of running towards her is shot in the back by a Dalek.

Jack, Rose, and Donna all heft his skinny dying butt into the TARDIS, where Jack pulls Rose away and the Doctor starts to regenerate and does the exploding regeneration light show right smack in the same spot as where the Master did it last year.

I can say with certainty: Ten can't die here. David Tennant, even if he doesn't take the large heft of pounds being offered his way, still has one more episode, possibly the charity clip, and the Christmas special (he's been SEEN filming the Christmas special and he knows what's in it.)

Here's all the reasons, listed beautifully. Logical, straight, lovely arguments that make SENSE...

Reasons why Ten can't die:

David Tennant's in the Christmas Special. People have seen him filming it, and he himself confirmed that the Cybermen were in it.

The Beeb just offered him a megacontract to stay on in 2010, and he most certainly couldn't do that if Ten was dead.

Ten's death would create a paradox, as he has yet to meet River Song for the first time (at least on her side of things,) and since she recognized his face immediately that means Ten cannot regenerate into someone else. Not yet.

There are pictures online of David Tennant in some scenes that haven't been seen yet, so we can rightly assume that Ten is still alive and kicking Daleks in the eyestalk for fun.

SO, FOR the first and last time, TEN IS NOT DEAD. Nuh-uh. No way. They wouldn't be asking David Tennant back if he'd regenerated into 11.

So whatever that regeneration was, it wasn't Ten dying. Nope. Nope. Nope. But it still makes me wonder what happened...

Jackie and Mickey must show up next week because we didn't see them here yet.

Does Rose have powers left over from the Time Vortex?

Is Rose doomed?(forget Donna. She's already died once. Are they going to kill her AGAIN?)

Yes, the bees and planets are all interconnected to the disappearing stuff. The Daleks have been yanking stuff from everywhere to do whatever the hell they're doing.

I believe the Doctor's song just ended abruptly but we'll find out next week on that little detail.

No details on Rose's family-she was busy shooting at thieves and cradling a dying Doctor.

Not much on the Time War-must be coming next week.

2. Who dies: Donna or Rose? Or is it both of them? In my mind, Rose is literally lying beneath the ax, but Donna's odds aren't looking too pretty either. It'd be just like Davies to not kill one companion, but two.

Somebody is gonna die. In a spoiler-filled news report that I didn't read anything of except the headline, which read that the Doctor Who heroes would be crying. Who was crying, what they were crying about, or when this sobfest would occur I didn't find out.

Well, they cried over the Doctor big-time, but Donna's going to lose someone important and since it can't be him it's got to be her mum (I never really liked her anyway).

3: Bad Wolf: Rose is Bad Wolf. We know this. She threw out a message to the Doctor at the end of episode 11 telling him the end of the universe was coming...hence the stars are still going out and bad stuff is going down.

The Shadow Proclamation is apparently a bunch of Judoon, a couple of pale women with freaky looking eyes, and they apparently can declare a war throughout the entire universe and put the Doctor in charge. It was fun to watch him run for his life...

So:

Gallifrey restored? Or will the Doctor be forced into a decision between Earth existing or Gallifrey restored? (nasty decision) (Nothing yet)

Who dies? Rose? Donna? Jackie? Mickey? (Nothing yet)

Apparently the Doctor's little rebel group gets caught at some point because they've talked about standing in front of the Daleks already. (not yet. Half of them are in the TARDIS right now. Sarah-Jane is facing down two of them. Martha's doing something. Jack and Rose and Donna are watching the Doctor die.)

What is the Shadow Proclamation? (Bunch of women with a war complex)

What happened to Eight that made him Nine? (No idea)

Time War? Will we get a full story on what happened? (Not yet)

Earth gets moved. Why and are they going to move it back? (Well, the Daleks moved it and it's safe to assume it will get moved back to where it used to be when the Daleks get zapped. Right now that looks pretty bleak.)

What and when was the Medusa Cascade? (Big rift in time and space that the Doctor closed when he was 90)

What is so deadly about the Red Dalek? (Nothing much. His voice is deeper and he's prettier, and he gives orders.)

Does Rose have superpowers? Is Bad Wolf about to rise again? (Nothing on this front yet.)

Has the Doctor's song ended already or are we still waiting on that bit? (Ooh, he might be in the middle of the song cutting out, since we left him in the process of dying again).

Nothing else happened today. I won't get to see this until SUNDAY of next week. I don't think I will survive.

Ta,
Bec
