Bonfire

Well, we had a bonfire tonight. It was nice and hot and blazing near the fire, but freezing cold away from it. I was bundled up in my coat, my gloves, my warmest socks and I still got cold.

Had fun, though. Burned my British Studies textbook because we're not going to get them bought back and it won't fit in my suitcase. Don't worry-about 40 other copies suffered the same fate.

I'm pretty tired and I have my first final tomorrow, so I should get some sleep.

Ta,
Bec

PS: Forgot to mention that I have now tried black pudding (a very small sampling, mind you.) For those who don't know, it's pig's blood cooked with spices into a kind of patty-like sausage thing-gummy.

Let's just say that not all British food is wonderful. Some of it is downright gnarly. I was great with the kippers, the pasties, the cheese toasties, the sausages, and the fish and chips, but I think I'll leave the black pudding for those who actually like it.

If you want to know what it was like, think overspiced, shredded, grainy-like rubber.
